Húsareynstunnilin was completed 03.07.2025 and will open for public 06.07.2025.
Húsareynstunnilin is located in the captial Tórshavn, and is 1800m long. The safety test was completed 01.07.2025 and it will be open for public 06.07.2025.
Articon var the main entrepreneur and El-Service delivered all the electrical and safety equipment for the tunnel.
Húsareynstunnilin is the 12th tunnel with electrical and safety equipment delivered by El-Service.
Húsareynstunnilin includes 17 emergency stations with emergency phones and fire extinguishers, emergency lightning, gass measurement, and CCTV with AID (Automatic Incident Detection) system.
The safety system from El-Service also includes a SCADA system for overview and safety control.
